Uzi Live at The Whip & Kitten on Friday 11th October
Uzi hit Fab Café on 28th April Playing as part of the “Sunday Sessions” at Fab Café in Manchester, along with several other marvellous acts! We should be on stage around 10pm.
Uzi Listening will be interviewed by Sean McGinty as part of BBC Radio Lancashire’s “Introducing” programme at 8pm on 16th of March 2019 to chat about the band, our music, and hopefully play a few tracks.
Thursday night music at the Hargreaves Arms. Uzi play an unusual Thursday night slot at our favourite watering hole. Probably keeping it low-key and a bit more improvisational. We have painstakingly calculated that there’s a 92.4% chance you’ll be OK for work on Friday!
Uzi kick off 2019 with a gig at Number 39 - Hopstar Brewery Tap We’ve got a bit more time than at Night & Day, so we’ll be able to play all the new stuff from the album, plus some old favourites. Support will be provided by Teri & the Electric Blues Parade playing psychedelic blues / jazz ahead of their upcoming Moroccan tour! Free Entry 2nd February 2019.
Uzi’s first gig at Night and Day Café, Manchester looks set to be a good one. Playing as part of the regular “Night and Day Showcase” featuring original bands, we’ll be supporting good friends Joan the Wad performing soulful northern indie folk, We the North, a three-piece rock band from Bolton, and Tragicomics performing country-flavoured lyrical pop music. We’ve got a 30 minute slot, so expect a whistle-stop tour of the new album!
Our first full studio album is released!
After a few months away writing and recording, Uzi Listening are back playing live. We’re looking forward to getting back in front of real people, instead of mixing desks. It’s the third or fourth time we’ll have played at the Hargreaves, and we’re really hoping the fire will be off! Expect our full catalogue with occasional improvisational detours. Old favourites such as The Shimmer and (Sunday at the) 3 Bean Maraca will be mingling with new tracks like Iain M.
On 7th October 2017, Uzi Listening will be playing at Artisan Rawtenstall as support for the marvellous Lucis Flux and Anna Kramer. All the way from Atlanta, USA, Lucis Flux frontman Pete DeLorenzo has graced Rossendale in the past with his previous band, Gringo Star. Anna Kramer is a Singer / Songwriter, also from Atlanta. She performs at home with her band “Anna Kramer and the Lost Cause”
Very abridged version of the set from Artisan Rawtenstall this weekend.
1st April 2017 - Uzi Live instrumental set with a SciFi feel at Artisan, Rawtenstall! A first live outing for some of the new instrumental music we’ve been working on.
Uzi Listening are pleased to announce that this Tuesday, 16th July 2013, we’ll be supporting Troker. They’re hot on the heals of their successful Glastonbury appearance, and mid-way through their European tour. 8pm start. £5 on the door. Not to be missed! Check them out on Facebook, YouTube and SoundCloud or see the Facebook event listing.
